Learn, and combine, the above techniques into a Shadow Do sequence. Once you've systematically built the combination, alternate sides with the choreography. SHADOW DO PROTIP: the step back to switch stances is seamless, but requires the removal of the 4th kick that is performed in the combo on single side. The step back occurs on the 2, when counting down 8 count phrases in 8th notes. HIPBOX PROTIP: synchronize the sweep of the foot 90 degrees of the circumference of your space with the retraction of the punch for the smoothest execution. (The reality is, if broken down with a slo-mo/high speed camera, the hand, hip, and heel would arrive a split second before the foot moves.) Leave questions on our message board!
